Ikigai is a life philosophy that comes from Japan. The term comes from ikiru, which means "to live" in Japanese, and from kai, which represents the realization of what one would like.
Finding your ikigai allows us to look for a job that makes sense for us.
An ikigai can vary depending on time and your priorities of the moment, so it's interesting to redo this exercise several times in your professional life.
Ikigai is the balance that encompasses these 4 dimensions: what you love, what you are good at, what you can be paid for, and what the world needs.
The 4 dimensions
What you love?
Make a list of everything that gives you joy and energy on a daily basis. You can also list everything you would like to do but that you don't currently do. What appeals to you? What are your areas of interest?
What you are good at?
This is answering the question: what am I good at? What are my greatest qualities, talents? What are my transferable skills? Use the exercises presented clicking here.
What you could be paid for?
