Defining the causes you would like to support

You would like your work to have a positive impact on society but you don't know which cause to choose.

You are aware of the many social challenges (inequalities, poverty, social connection, ...) and environmental issues (warming, waste, biodiversity, agriculture...) but how do you know which field you should commit to?

We suggest you ask yourself the following questions:

  • What outrages you, what revolts you when reading newspapers or listening to the news or in your daily life?
  • Is there something that speaks to you to the point that you could mobilize yourself to hope to change something about it?

You may have the impression of feeling powerless regarding what touches you most. Changing the world can start by looking at what's going wrong around you, at the scale of your neighborhood, your city or your work environment.

You can also look at which of the 17 sustainable development challenges defined by the UN speak to you most.

Also ask yourself the following questions:

  • Which age category suits me best?
  • In which sectors of activity would you have the most impact?
  • Is it rather in my neighborhood, my city, in Belgium, internationally?

In conclusion, know that you could be useful everywhere. The most important question is to ask yourself where your talent and skills would be most useful. In which field would you have the greatest positive impact for the world?

Don't hesitate to share this content with your loved ones. It could be useful to them.
