Chart: work framework, conditions, and environment

The table below allows you to detail the work framework in which you currently operate. It also puts into perspective the importance of these elements for you. Is it important, for example, to have a beautiful work environment, to be close to your home, to have friendly colleagues…?

Describe your current or previous work situation in the first column and then indicate with a cross whether this criterion is important to you or not.

Table: framework, conditions and work environment

Now, try to rank the elements in order of priority. Is the proximity of your work more important to you than working in beautiful offices? Is it more important for you to work in a team than to work in a small or large company?

Can you conclude from this exercise that your current situation does or does not meet your priorities?

Yes/No/Partially? It is important to regularly remind yourself of your priorities.

There will never be a completely perfect situation, a perfect job or a perfect career change, ideal in every respect. Moving from employee to self-employed means leaving behind financial stability. Completely changing careers is sometimes difficult to justify to employers… Every change involves adaptation and compromises, which is why keeping your priorities in mind allows you to make the best possible choice.
