It's possible!
You are unable to work, but you feel that something needs to change?
That you need to reorient yourself, get training, or simply find a direction that makes sense for you?
L’INAMI a prévu un parcours pour se faire.
You already have a training idea
Discuss it with your Return to Work Coordinator..
Your project will be evaluated by the medical advisor..
If your project is accepted
Your file goes to the Medical Council for Invalidity (CMI)..
If approved:
👉 INAMI reimburses your training costs, orientation examination, and travel expenses.
If the project is refused
Only the orientation examination is covered.
And you can appeal within 3 months.
You don't have a project yet?
Your coordinator refers you to Actiris, Forem, or VDAB..
An advisor will help you clarify your desires, your limitations, your strengths.
Once the project is built, it is submitted to the medical advisor and then to the CMI.
👉 If approved: the costs related to the pathway are reimbursed.
👉 If refused: only the support costs are covered.
During the training
Inform your advisor if:
the dates change, the training stops, you fail, or you start a paid internship, as this could impact your benefits.
The reimbursement of your costs (if you are in the INAMI pathway) goes through your mutual insurance.
After the training
You have 6 months to look for a job with your new skills.
Regional employment services can support you.
Then, the medical advisor reassesses your incapacity taking into account your evolution.
