Bouncing back after failure

Bouncing back after failure in Belgium is not easy. Indeed, we don't yet have a culture of failure like in the United States, and that's a shame.

Because failure, whatever it may be, can bring us positive things, can teach us things.

It depends on how it is experienced and perceived by yourself, your entourage, and by society.

Job&Sense advises you to read the book Les vertus de l’échec (The Virtues of Failure) by Charles Pépin to help you realize that sometimes great things come from events considered as failures.

To help you bounce back, Job&Sense advises you to contact:

Psychological support for freelancers

Since April 2021, freelancers can benefit from up to 4 completely free psychological care sessions with a psychologist or clinical educational therapist contracted with the nonprofit Un pass dans l’impasse.

This service is aimed at any person in psychological distress who has the status of self-employed worker (main or supplementary).

You can benefit from this support by calling free of charge from Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM at 0800/300.25. This bilingual telephone line will guide you to the service.

Reload Yourself

Reload Yourself's mission is to help consolidate existing jobs in Brussels by supporting business takeover specialists as well as entrepreneurs in difficulty. Reload Yourself is aimed at all entrepreneurs who still have the possibility of relaunching their activity by providing them with multidisciplinary support in the form of regular contacts with a business coach. A participation fee is sometimes requested depending on your situation.

You will find more information here.

Revival

A completely free program, intended for anyone who had to close their business following bankruptcy, liquidation, or sale at a loss. You are individually supported, until you bounce back (maximum 24 months), by a coach and a mentor. Collective sessions will allow you to share with other entrepreneurs, train yourself, and do co-development together with an engaged, caring, and experienced Revival community. The program consists of 2 phases: getting the entrepreneur back on their feet (taking perspective, mourning the stopped project, and regaining confidence) and defining and implementing their new professional project (whatever it may be, entrepreneurial or not). Revival is available throughout Belgium.

If you want information about this program, visit the website..

Fuckup nights

You can also attend "Fuckup nights" which take place all over the world. These are events where you can listen to honest testimonies from people who have experienced professional failure.

The fondation PULSE organizes Fuckup nights in Belgium, whether in Brussels, Wallonia, or Flanders. You will find more information about upcoming events on this website

Don't hesitate to share this content with your loved ones. It could be useful to them.
