However, there are some exceptions that you can find <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/legalnews.be\/fr\/droit-des-affaires\/droit-social\/nieuwe-werkgeversverplichtingen-in-verband-met-opleiding-van-werknemers-eubelius\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Depending on your joint committee, you will be directed to a training fund. Many training programs can be free and very practical.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The site <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.formation-continue.be\/aides-la-formation\/fonds-sectoriels-de-formation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Continuing Education<\/a><\/span> lists training funds based on your joint committee.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>The largest joint committee is committee 200. If you are part of this committee, check the training offerings proposed by <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.cevora.be\/fr\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CEFORA.<\/a><\/span>.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Do not hesitate to discuss it and propose trainings that interest you to your human resources manager or employer.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-592543d elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"592543d\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Resuming Long-term Studies<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-0ab2989 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"0ab2989\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>You have two options available to resume long-term studies: educational leave and time credit with justification.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><em><b>Educational Leave<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Private sector employees can pursue studies of a minimum of 32 hours and a maximum of 120 or 180 hours per year while being paid and remaining employed.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>These studies, whether or not related to your current work, can be undertaken during working hours or outside of working hours.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>The employee is protected against dismissal during educational leave.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>For more information and conditions, or to find out which trainings are approved, please consult the following links based on your place of residence.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/economie-emploi.brussels\/conge-education-paye\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Brussels<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/emploi.wallonie.be\/home\/formation\/conge-education-paye.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wallonia<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"https:\/\/www.vdab.be\/opleidingsverlof-voor-werknemers\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Flanders<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:embed {\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.vdab.be\/opleidingsverlof-voor-werknemers\"} --><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:embed --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>For the employees <strong>of the Public Sector<\/strong>there are also different career break formulas, the specifics of which you can find <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.onem.be\/fr\/citoyens\/interruption-de-carriere-credit-temps-et-conges-thematiques\/interruption-de-carriere-secteur-public\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p><em><b>Time Credit with Justification<\/b><\/em><\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>Time credit can be requested for several reasons: to care for your child under 8 years old, your disabled child under 21 years old, to care for a family member who is ill, or to pursue recognized training.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>To request time credit for continuing education, you must pay attention to the following conditions:<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:list --><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The training must be recognized by the communities.<\/li>\n<li>It must total at least 360 hours per year or 27 credits or 120 hours or 9 credits per school term.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!-- \/wp:list --><!-- wp:paragraph --><\/p>\n<p>To obtain time credit, there are <b>conditions<\/b> regarding seniority, minimum working time (at least three-quarter time), number of time credits available in your company depending on the number of full-time equivalents... To be consulted\u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.onem.be\/citoyens\/interruption-de-carriere-credit-temps-et-conges-thematiques\/credit-temps-secteur-prive\/le-credit-temps-avec-motif\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">here.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n<p>The minimum duration for each time credit request with justification is\u00a0\u00a0<strong data-start=\"1531\" data-end=\"1544\">3 months<\/strong> for full-time or part-time work, and <strong data-start=\"1587\" data-end=\"1597\">6 months<\/strong> pour un cr\u00e9dit-temps d&rsquo;un cinqui\u00e8me.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><!-- wp:embed {\"url\":\"https:\/\/www.onem.be\/fr\/documentation\/feuille-info\/t160\"} --><\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The maximum time allowed to pursue training on time credit is 36 months and is remunerated with an allowance.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-2e50cc5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"2e50cc5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Staggered Schedule Training<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-a01c2dd elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"a01c2dd\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"4094\" data-end=\"4265\">Social promotion institutions (adult public education) offer training at adapted hours, in the evening or on a split schedule.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4267\" data-end=\"4475\">They allow you to obtain official diplomas or certificates recognized by the Communities in many fields: languages, IT, management, technical trades, social support, etc.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4477\" data-end=\"4579\">This is an excellent option to gradually change careers while continuing to work.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4581\" data-end=\"4638\">You can follow these trainings in the networks of:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"4639\" data-end=\"4786\">\n<li data-start=\"4639\" data-end=\"4688\">\n<p data-start=\"4641\" data-end=\"4688\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.promsoc.brussels\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"4641\" data-end=\"4662\">Promotion sociale<\/strong><\/a> (Wallonia and Brussels)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4689\" data-end=\"4758\">\n<p data-start=\"4691\" data-end=\"4758\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ifapme.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"4691\" data-end=\"4701\">IFAPME:<\/strong><\/a> (training more oriented towards trades and entrepreneurship)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"4759\" data-end=\"4786\">\n<p data-start=\"4761\" data-end=\"4786\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.syntra.be\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong data-start=\"4761\" data-end=\"4771\">Syntra network<\/strong><\/a> (in Flanders)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"4788\" data-end=\"4887\">These trainings can often be combined with educational leave or time credit.<\/p>\n<p><!-- \/wp:paragraph --><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-d8744e5 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"d8744e5\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Right to Resignation<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-113d93b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"113d93b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p data-start=\"4955\" data-end=\"5086\">As of March 1, 2026, a new right to resignation for career change projects will come into force in Belgium.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5088\" data-end=\"5270\">This scheme will allow a worker to resign while retaining their right to unemployment benefits for 6 months, provided they follow a recognized retraining pathway.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5088\" data-end=\"5270\">You must have 10 years of seniority.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5272\" data-end=\"5466\">The objective is to facilitate voluntary professional transitions, without requiring to remain in a job that no longer matches your aspirations, while guaranteeing a safe framework.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"5468\" data-end=\"5584\">The precise arrangements (types of recognized training, deadlines, procedures) will be clarified in the coming months.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>On distingue
